Time and energy are too precious to waste on being mean or judgmental towards other people. We all should mind our own business with open minds. Because I believe that, I decided to take a look at Taylor Swift's new videos and songs. Personally, I like "sweet angst" music, and Taylor Swift is anything but angsty. Still, my friends keep an open mind about my "weird" music, so I did the same with their "normal" music. Some of her songs I completely didn't relate to and practically drowned in the sap, but, others I really liked.
Mean is my favorite. The message is wonderful and true to life. The people who feel the need to be mean to others are the most pathetic of people. They feel threatened by others who have a shot at something, so they put them down to redeem themselves. Even in the animal world this is true. Bees only sting when they feel threatened. And just like a bee dies after it stings, mean people never are truly successful. They don't develop true friends, self-respect, or happiness. Plus, meanness begets meanness and kindness begets kindness.
The best thing to do when someone really grates our nerves is to put ourselves in their shoes. Usually, you'll come to understand them better and even come to like them. If that doesn't work, I like to turn a blind eye and ear. If you don't have anything nice to say or do, don't say or do anything. We all will have our spotlight, and a happy ending to our story as long as we aren't the villain in someone else's .So, without any further ado; my favorite Taylor Swift song/music video, Mean. Did I mention how much I love how it is set in the Roaring Twenties? Thumbs up, Taylor. Enjoy :)
An outfit post coming soon; I'm still waiting for my lovely pixie boots to come in the mail. There was alittle mishap in the shipping department. Note to self: Never ever shop online when sleepy again. Much thanks for reading. Many hugs and warm feelings. :)
