Sadly, truly the last of the "my fave celebs" saga. It is ending with my favorite celebrity persona inspirations(that I haven't already mentioned) who are musicians. First, Norah Jones. The first concert I ever attended was The Fall tour of Norah Jones and Corrine Bailey Rae. It was a wonderful concert. It was scenic( Griffith Park),relaxed, and deliciously simple. Sometimes its really refreshing to see a performance where the musicians don't have a jillion backup dancers, costume changes, fireworks ,dance routines , props and what not. I had a wonderful time and her show helped me appreciate the wonder of live music. . Norah Jones is an artist that anyone can relate to, being that she is very sweet and so down-to-earth. My favorite Norah Jones songs are Don't Know Why, Cold Cold Heart, Sinking Soon, Broken, Stuck, Not My Friend, Man of the Hour and Chasing Pirates.

Corrine Bailey Rae's music is so beautiful, true, and lifts the spirits. Put Your Records On is "my song". Her story is motivational to me. Her husband died of a supposed intentional drug overdose, which is unimaginably painful to go through. Even though she had good excuse to, she didn't dwell on it and lose herself in despair. No, she picked herself up , released a brilliant album(The Sea) went on tours ,and kept herself busy and optimistic.

Whenever I go for a bike ride on the beach(or anywhere for that matter) I always listen to Best Coast. Her,their ,songs are low-key but upbeat and literally express what I'm(and many teen girls are) going through. For example, Boyfriend, When I'm With You,Happy, and I Want To. Personally, I love her laid-back, sweet but edgy vibe and floral, feminine, but not fluffy girly style.

She and Him reminds me of sunny days on a remote beach with my favorite people in the world. Their songs are heartfelt, and deep, but fizzy enough to be easy listening. Zooey Deschanel's style is quite lovely chic. I absolutely adore her floral dresses and how she pairs them with nylons like I do. As if she isn't enviable enough, she is also a wonderful actress.

Last but for sure not least, Sia. Its a real shame that she stays mostly in Australia. Sia is beyond talented, some of her songs even give me chills,(Soon We'll be Found, Breathe Me, I'm in Here, Cloud). If she doesn't come to the US soon, I think I would get a part-time job just to travel to Australia to see her perform. It would be worth every penny. What I like most about Sia ,other than her talent, of course, is her chill I-am-me quirky vibe.
Who are your favorite musicians and bands? I really enjoy learning about people's favorite band and hearing different points of views (theres a very convenient comment box and email link in my profile,*wink wink*)Lol. Anywaays, thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely week. Many many warm feelings :)

I loooove Chipotle Mexican Grill. Their food is always super fresh. My favorite thing about Chipotle is their guacamole. Not only does it taste good but you can tell that they make it themselves at the restaurant..If you ever have made guac yourself, you'll know that it is hard to grind the avocado smooth,( actually practically impossible.) So you know a restaurant made their own guacmole when it isn't smooth, but its chunky. And Chipotle's guacmole is always full of heavenly avocado chunks. Yes im obsessing, but really, it is so refreshing to be able to get relatively cheap, fast, unprocesed, healthy food that tastes really good. The opposite of that is McDonalds....
A couple Saturday nights ago, me and a friend went to get some coffee to drink while watching Saturday Night Live.. Starbucks surprisingly was closed, so we mosied on over to Mickey D's instead. We went through the drive-thru and ordered coffee and fries. While in the drive-thru, I saw a McDonald employee walk out of McDonalds walk across the street to Wingstop, get a takeout order and bring it back to McDonalds. Then she sits in a McyD booth and eats. Remember, this is around midnight, its super dark and hardly anyones out. So what she did was pretty dangerous, and it would have been alot easier and safer for her just to eat the food she was giving other people. After seeing that, I don't think I ever ate McDonald's ever again...
If the people who work at the place don't eat there, you know you shouldn't eat there. At chipotle I see the employees make a burrito for themselves and eat it for their break all the time. Chipotle is just da bomb. The food is great , the decor is cool and the music they play is awesome...
On that Mc Donald's note, below is a link to Best Coast's When Im With You, Music Video...The song is lovely; the video was one of the inspirations for this post (other than slighty hungry/ chipotle cravings) .. watch the video: it'll put a smile on your face and youll also understand why it had a hand in this post. .. :D Enjoy and I hope you had a not-so Monday curse Monday .. :)

This weekend I went for a pleasant bikeride on the beach. Unfortunately I left my earphones at home. (no Best Coast no happy..frown.. )But actually maybe i should say "fortunately" . Since I wasn't listening to anything I could really take in my surroundings..And I got lots of blog post inspiration.(people watching, wierdos galore.) One thing that particulary caught my blog post eye was just the lack of mystery.
I mean girls in skimpy string bikinis, guys in thongs ,letting absoulutely evvvverything hang out..Im all for loving your body, comfort in your skin , taking risks and all that. Buuuuuttt when you are wearing those things its..well ..it isnt much better than going around naked. Most people dont want to see that (hopefully)...
Also since sooo many people go on the beach half-naked, you get lost in the crowd of bodies. Since you're practically naked someone who's decent (just wants to get to know you) probably wont feel comfortable talking to you.You really miss out because sometimes the beach is a good place to meet people. Depending on the beach (if you're a regular local and whatnot,) its possible to make friends or meet potential girlfriends/boyfriends. What you really want is someone interested in you ,not your body. Im pretty sure that if people wore a bathing suit that shows only about 60% of skin and flatters their body shape.. they'll find people will want to look, even talk to them for good, non-creepy reasons.
Im sure that you all have seen string bikinis and thongs..so im not going to include pics ..but here's some pretty chic swimsuit ideas for girls (guys: for you its simple. Just two rules (1)trunks suffice, no no more than suffice..theyre great awesome.. (2) otherwise when picking swimwear remember Do sporty athletic Dont (emphasize don't) come anywhere close to walking male anatomy lesson)

See.. if you cover-up alittle you get smoldering, mysterious but approachable, and beautifully stylish....win winn winnnn... X)
